The aggressive promotion of Shankarabharanam created a huge buzz for the film. This film starring Nikhil and Naditha has hit the screens today. Now let's see how this attempt will be different from Kona Venkat and Nikhil.

Story:-

Gautam (Nikhil) is an American Indian who leads a carefree life. One fine day he finds out that his dad (Suman) is broke and has huge debts. Left with no choice, Gautham's mother decides to sell her ancestral palace in Bihar and entrusts Gautham with the task.

Gautam lands in Bihar only to find that his ancestral palace is inhabited by his huge extended family. Disappointed, Gautam hatches a plan to sell the palace and just as he is about to close the deal, he is kidnapped by a notorious criminal gang.

What will Gautam do now? How will she escape this deadly kidnapping? and how will he solve all his financial problems? That forms the rest of the story.

Performances by artists:

Boy-next-door Nikhil has transformed into the role of a rich NRI with silly dialogue delivery. There is too much conceit in his acting. He looks wise to fit the role, but there is no room for him to do anything other than just be a participant in the whole drama.

Nanditha is completely lost. Anjali in the short role of lady don is good.

Prudhvi once again gets the best role and shines with the right comedy dialogues and mannerisms as a greedy cop who goes hand in hand with a gang of kidnappers.

Sapathagiri elicited laughter. Bollywood actor Sanjay Mishra is underutilized. Sampath comes with a good performance as Home Minister.

Technical excellence:

The film is largely set against the backdrop of Bihar. The uneven terrain is captured well by cinematographer Sai Sriram and the artwork is also appreciable. The editing is flawless. The music is not good at all as all the songs sound like Hindi tracks. Production values are decent.

The most important:

Nice concept

Prudhvi's Comedy

Disadvantages:

The entire first half looks boring

Lack of enough entertainment

The movie drags on

Bihar background

Analysis:

The film is said to be a remake of the Hindi hit, Phas Gaye Re Obama, but writer Kona Venkat has changed the script a lot and added his own style.

On paper, the basic idea looks pretty good, but the script went completely crazy with the movie, it didn't even become a proper crime comedy or romantic movie.

Family sentiments, romance, kidnapping drama and comedy have all been thrown into one mix, but the onslaught is not smooth. The problem is with the movie.

The first half of the film is quite boring. The movie really picks up when Prudhvi's character is introduced and those parts are hilarious too. Even after that, the movie still drags on and too many villains and kidnapping gangs enter the scene.

Apart from the high points and Prudhvi, the film falls flat. It's an unapologetic, shoddy remake of a hit movie.

Nikhil looked clueless for most of the movie. There is absolutely no chemistry between Nikhil and Nanditha. Kona Venkat, who is known for good comedy dramas, is hardly any, though he has given credit for the film's screenplay, dialogues and also direction. The defacto director is according to the headlines. But you can't see any grasp of the direction and script.

As we said earlier, Prudhvi and some comedy in the climax is the saving grace of this dull and boring film.

Bottom line: Poorly composed Sankarabharanam!
